Logo Contest
The California Foster Youth Education Task Force (CFYETF) is seeking logo design submissions to help us find a new logo for the Task Force. The contest is open to young people up to age 26 who are currently or were previously in foster care in California. The contest winner will win a $500 prize and the opportunity to work with a graphic designer to make the logo look polished. The contest is open now through December 20, 2024.
What is the CFYETF?
The California Foster Youth Education Task Force (CFYETF) is made up of over 200 member organizations, including educators, direct service providers, advocates, young people with foster care experience, and state agencies such as the California Department of Education (CDE) and the California Department of Social Services (CDSS). Members come together to raise challenges and issues from the field, and collaborate to develop strategies to help students in foster care overcome educational barriers and thrive in school. The CFYETF is responsible for updating and distributing the California Foster Youth Education Law Fact Sheets. and for coordinating the annual California Foster Youth Education Summit.
The CFYETF is looking for a new logo design that represents our primary focus of helping students in foster care overcome educational barriers and thrive in school. (See our current logo at the top of the page.) The CFYETF is committed to incorporating youth voice into its work and wants a new logo that reflects the ideas and perspectives of young people who have spent time in foster care. The new logo will be used on the CFYETF website and on all of our materials (meeting agendas, reports/guides, fact sheets, etc.). A logo is important because it helps to brand the CFYETF and convey our values and mission.
